Jay Hall Joins Raw Fuel Racing Outfit                                                                             1-12-06

Raw Fuel Racing team owner and driver Antony Jeffrey has obtained the services of Jay Hall for the remainder of the Parramatta City Raceway (PCR) Sprintcar Track Championship where he will act as the crew chief of the # 47 J&J.

In only his second season of Sprintcar racing, Jeffrey is enthusiastic about having the addition of Hall to the Raw Fuel Racing team.

“I look forward to working with Jay [Hall] as he will not only look after my car at the track, but away from it too,” said an upbeat Jeffrey.

“Hopefully this can be the start of a strong relationship between us as driver and crew chief, which is a very important aspect of Sprintcar racing.”

Hall, the National Formula Vee (1200cc class) Champion of 2005, has been around the sport of Speedway his entire life. Although his promising career as a racer fell by the wayside due to budget restraints, the 25-year-old has now refocused his attention on establishing a career as a crew chief.

“I have been around Sprintcars my entire life and as a racer I cannot afford to do it without the proper budget, I’m now turning my focus to becoming an established crew chief,” Hall said.

“Joining the Raw Fuel Racing team is going to allow me to take a more ‘hands on’ approach with the cars.”

Having spent three months in America during the most recent off season, Hall is now more determined than ever to be a force to be reckoned with after acting as crew chief for Atlanta based ‘360’ Sprintcar competitor Doug Day.

“I had an absolute ball over in America and it really opened to my eyes to what it’s all about,” he said with a big grin.

“It has made me even more enthusiastic to make it as a crew chief - starting with Antony [Jeffrey]. His team will only help me gain more valuable experience.”

There is a quite a bit of Speedway racing history with the Hall surname, as Jay’s relatives include former Liverpool Speedway based Sedan racer Paul Ash, the late Graham Oliver, and David Hall.

Hall owes a big thanks to Billy Roberts from Grizzly Dyno Shocks for giving him numerous opportunities to make a start in chasing a career as a crew chief.
